*Remember dates are written month/day in America, but in other countries are written day/month

4. Years

Normal-say numbers as set of two numbers

Examples:

1999=19,99 (nineteen ninety-nine)

1776=17,76

1892=18,92

Normal years (1110-1199, 1210-1299,1310-1399, 1410-1499,1510-1599, 1610-1699,1710-1799, 1810-1899, 1910-1999)

xx01-xx09

Dates that end in 01-09 are said xx "O"1

Examples:

1904= nineteen-o-four

1609=sixteen-o-nine

20xx

the first two digits can either be said twenty, or two thousand

2000-2009 are always said two thousand

Example:

2001=two thousand one

2009=two thousand nine

2010-2099 you can either say these dates as twenty xx or two thousand xx

Example:

2011= 20,11 or two thousand eleven

2020= 20,20 or two thousand twenty
